What have you seen, and how did you like it?

I saw "How to Deal" on Saturday. It was good. Sweet, touching - funny at times. A chick flick, and geared more toward a younger generation (I identified more with the mom, lol!), but better than I thought it might be.

I also recently rented The Recruit and Adaptation. I really liked The Recruit - it had a fast moving story with some good twists, but I hated Adaptation (did I already tell you that?). I thought it was boring and pointless and kind of depressing. I don't know how it won the awards it won (I think it won an Oscar or two, didn't it?)

I rented Deliver us from Eva last night with Gabrielle Union and L.L. Cool J. It was good, but have you ever watched a movie where the character just ticked you off? This was me last night. I was so angry at Gabrielle Union's character that I literally wanted to jump in the t.v. and smack some heads....lol.

It was a cute movie though and the ending made me happy so I survived...lol.

I saw Pirates of the Carribean twice this past week. Once on Tuesday then again on Saturday. GREAT MOVIE. Beginning is a tad slow, but it catches up quickly and Johnny Depp is beautiful in it! Not gorgeous, but beautiful even with the makeup and fake gold teeth! He lit up the screen in every scene!

Of course now that I gave him such high praise, you all will be let down, LOL.

Yes, I have! I think that might be what bugged me about "Adaptation" - ALL the characters ticked me off! Meryl Streep's character was so wishy-washy, Nicholas Cage's character(s) was/were indecisive and goofy, and Chris Carter's (I think that's who it was) character was a bad stereotype of a Southern redneck - with delusions of grandeur.
