The review-aggregating site RottenTomatoes.com has suspended user comments on a film for the first time following a fan uproar after two critics posted negative reviews of "The Dark Knight Rises" on Monday. The two reviews that appear to have set fans off were from Marshall Fine of Hollywood and Fine wrote that the film was "grandiose not grand," and the Associated Press' Christy Lemire said that the film "lacked the spark that gave 2008's 'The Dark Knight' such vibrancy." The backlash overwhelmed the site, said Rotten Tomatoes editor-in-chief Matt Atchity, who told the AP that "it just got to be too much hate based on reactions to reviews of movies that people hadn't even seen."
Color me crazy, but I don't let the critics reviews of a movie affect me that much! And I'm not going to ream someone for their opinion, especially when they've seen the movie and I haven't -- I'll see the movie and form my own opinion, thankyouverymuch! LOL How about you? Do you let critics' reviews dictate your movie choices?
