I saw The Soloist tonight at the $2 theater. I cried. It was very well done. Robert Downey Jr and Jamie Foxx did an excellent job of believing in the characters, their life and how things unfolded. It was moving to see Downey's character resist, not get it, then finally find the gift of the entire experience.

Jamie Foxx's move from comedy to drama was an excellent career move for him. He was great in Ray and Dreamgirls. In this one - The Soloist - him being moved by music, well I felt it.

I watched this and loved it, too. It was touching and poignant and the music was wonderful.
