I love this movie! I watched tons of movies like this when I was a kid. Mary Poppins, Heidi, Pollyanna......it seems like they don't make really good movies like this for kids anymore. Or cartoons! Remember scooby doo, fraggle rock, the smurfs, the flinstones?

I'm not so keen on the cartoons you mentioned, though, but I love Disney movies! I could watch Sleeping Beauty as often as Gone With the Wind, I think! And, sap that I am, Dumbo and Bambi bring me to tears every time!
