Did you know.....

Okay, a new game. You complete the question. Just tell some type of trivia or information that is weird, obscure, or whatever you think is interesting.

I'll start: Did you know that "Peggy" from the Discover commercials is NOT an actor but is really just an Algebra teacher?

Then you reply with another bit of news, trivia or info that you have recently heard that you don't think anyone else has heard. And the next person says, "yes I knew that, or no I didn't know that."

Start the next message with "Did you know...."

I think I knew that.

Did you know that salt is mined from salt rocks and extracted from sea water?

I knew sea salt came from sea water but not about the salt rocks.

Did you know that honey bees do what's called a "waggle dance" when telling the others where to find food?

Aw, well that happens.

Did you know I never went to a college? I took a few courses (mostly secretarial) but never aspired to get a degree.

Well, I guess I like to just think that I know a little about a lot of different things! LOL

No, I didn't know that. Did you know I did office work (receptionist, secretary, bookkeeper, office manager) for about 15 years?

No!

(I don't blame you though! It's so expensive now especially if you want a drink and snacks. Plus I like to be able to pause a movie and rewind or go to the bathroom and not miss anything! LOL)

Did you know that I have to make my dog's food?

Oh, it's not due to the expense - that doesn't bother us. It's because it's kind of hard to leave the dogs alone in the house that long. We live far and then the time driving back and forth, you know? We'd rather rent (netflix) although sometimes it would be nice to go and get some of that buttery popcorn LOL

Why do you make your dog food?

Did you know I drink water all day long (probably why I go to the bathroom every 15 minutes - LOL)

If we go to the movies only a couple of us will go at one time because if the whole family goes it's over $40 but some movies I just can't wait for them to come out on DVD. The last time I went to the theater was when I took my DD to see "Alice in Wonderland" with Johnny Depp. She and I both have a "thing" for him, LOL. And yes, sometimes we just gotta have theater popcorn. :)

When we adopted Jeter, he came with either Science Diet or Prescription Diet Lamb & Rice which is like $40 for a bag which we couldn't afford so we started buying him Purina and then he started throwing up all the time but we couldn't buy the expensive stuff so I just started making his food. And he's doing better. It's a pain so hopefully we will be able to buy dog food that doesn't make him sick if/when we get good jobs.

I drink water all day too.

Did you know that corn is bad for dogs and in cheap dog foods, cornmeal is one of the #1 ingredients? It's a filler and we think that's why he throws up. It has gluten and I guess some dogs are just sensitive like some humans. I've had plenty of dogs in my life do just fine on Purina but for some reason he didn't. :(
