Saw Godzilla over the weekend. Meh. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't a blockbuster. More of a B movie type thing.  A bit more than you'd get from SyFy channel, but still had that aspect to it.

First of all, the top billed aren't in the movie that long. Juliet Binoche - 15-20 minutes, Bryan Cranston - who I thought was in it for the whole thing - only about 30-35 minutes, and Godzilla doesn't make an appearance until an hour in!! I checked my phone when he was shown to see! He was a good Godzilla look wise, I feel, at least better than the Matthew Broderick one. Definitely had the look of the old Godzilla movie ones. And this story was definitely based off the old movies, unlike the Matthew Broderick one.

There are two other monsters in the movie - moth creatures - so it was basically a Godzilla vs Mothra movie. He was also a "good" Godzilla, battling the evil moths to save what's left of Hawaii/San Fran. The star of the movie is a guy that I'm not familiar with. He's actually the son of Bryan Cranston and Juliet Binoche in the movie.

Anyway, not a total dud of a movie, but not what I expected.

Oh no! I wanted to see it just because Bryan Cranston was in it. I figured he would be in nothing but top notch movies right now.

I thought pretty much the same. I liked the lead guy, but he isn't really a well known.
