Dracula: Jonathan Rhys Meyers Teases Bloody Details for NBC's Dark New Drama
"We changed some of the characters around, changed the nature of their position in the world around," he says. "[Dracula] plays Alexander Grayson a young European American businessman. Dracula doesn't exist, Dracula is the monster. Vlad Tepes and Alexandar Grayson exist. Vlad Tepes is the core character and Alexander Grayson is the façade he used for the world of commerce." Phew! Did you get all that?
I finally was able to sit and watch the first episode last night. Firstly, what is with TV and Movies where the volume of the music is so flipping loud you can't hear the actors speaking?! Gah! Anyway, I didn't love it but I didn't hate it. It's a great concept though — the whole commerce thing along with the Order of the Dragon story line aspect. Is he believable as Dracula — I think he's a bit too pretty, but, hey, whatevs. ;)
Anyone else catch it?
