I really thought I would hate the finale, but I didn't. It was nice to see President Taylor do the right thing, and President Logan as well. This show presents me with huge a moral dilemma, thus why I stopped watching it a few years ago-- second to the fact that it was Dick Cheney's favorite show. Personally, what Jack did this season was beyond criminal and to me, it ruined any bit of good left in his character. To a gut a man... and then get away with it?
As far as I'm concerned 24 sunk to a new level. It is not okay to torture and murder anyone... and this show glorified it. I may have found redemption in it if Jack was brought to justice, but allowing him to escape? Part of the dilemma for me is that we feel for Jack, which desensitizes us to what he did, but this season went way too far. I'm sad that they ended it this way... making Jack just a monster.
Actually it was those damn fake glasses in one of the first episodes that ruined it for me!!!
