I thought they did a great job with last nights episode. The way they went between Carters search and the flashbacks of what happened to Kovac were just dynamic. The scene where Kovac is mistaken for a priest was moving. I was very impressed. And very shocked when Carter didn't get on the plane at the end. I had forgotten that he is working a very limited schedule this season due to wanting to spend more time with his new baby. It was a great way to take him off the show temporarily.

I didn't know that he was limiting his schedule this season. I was also very impressed by the whole episode. What do you think is going to happen between him and Abby?? I'm already thinking that this is the BEST season yet.

I *knew* that Kovac couldn't be dead. Okay...I was at least 95% sure. I kept telling my husband not to believe it until they showed the dead body. We were surprised by Carter staying behind. I hadn't anticipated that. I would guess that he has broken it off with Abbey. Which is for the best in my opinion.

He wrote her a letter & they showed her reading it in the previews for next weeks episode & they said that the letter would change everything. I think he is breaking up with her because he said in the show that their relationship was bad for both of them. They seemed to have a very unhealthy relationship. Co-dependant on each other. She kept needed to be saved & he kept needing to save her.

They announced during summer that Carter had renegotiated his contract with the producers to enable him to spend most of this year with his wife & new baby. I think he is only doing a few episodes here & there. He said he wants to be there for his childs first year. I think they live in Santa Barbara so it is a long commute for him to the Warner Brother Studios.

I was SHOCKED about Carter staying behind, I hadn't heard about his new schedule either! I'm glad that he won't be gone for good though! That was a WONDERFUL episode... I totally loved it! So, the 20,000 went for Luca's plane, right?? And in the previews, was Lizzy (that's her name, right, or Elizabeth) having sex with someone?? They didn't show it long enough, but it looked like it to me... DH said she was working real hard though (surgery or something) - but I thought I saw sex, LOL! I really liked Luca and Abby together, I'm really hoping they get back together! Michelle - a HUGE ER fan!

p.s. Why did they have that one guys arm come off... I think that was so stupid!

That was Dr. Romono's proc. arm that he threw I guess he was mad about something (surprise, surprise) and my sister told me that he gets killed in a helicopter accident later this season.

Good. I am glad they are taking him off. I don't think he serves any further use to the series. He did have a couple of good years though!
