I am excited that they are moving it to a new day/time slot, because I missed most of last season due to other shows I was recording.

I'm so behind on CSI. The last season I watched was when Sarah was stuck in that car by the miniature girl.
When Grissom and Sarah left I think the show did really well with the remaining cast and the addition of Laurence Fishbourne. The problem was they knew that Fishbourne wouldn't stick around too long, umm hello he's a big screen actor lol.
I think if they were planning on phasing Fishbourne out then they should have introduced 2 new characters when Grissom left so that there would still be someone else around when Fishbourne left, rather than trying to phase in Ted Dansen now. Blech Ted Dansen! I really don't think the show will survive after season 12. And if it does end I'd like to see Nick Stokes move to Miami and crank up the heat there :)
