on tonights show ruthie started her period and wouldn't tell her mom, her reasoning: she'll laugh, she'll cry she'll throw will be a party!!!!! her and her GUY friend go to the store look over the different tampons and she yells $7.49 I CAN"T AFFORD TO BE A WOMAN !!!!!!! classic lines!!! ROFLAO litterally!!! P.

Too cute! I don't watch 7th Heaven that often but I do like the show. Ruthie is definitely my favorite character...she cracks me up! Question though...is she supposed to be their biological daughter or was she adopted? I didn't watch when it first came on so I don't know, but she looks so much different than the others.

She's their dd and no she doesn't look like them. I think Lucy, Simon and the twins could pass for siblings. And matt. But I think Mary and Ruthie look a different - espcially Ruthie. But she's their's! I have a ds that doesn't look like the rest of the family - yet he's most definitely mine! ;)

Just to let you know, I have adopted 11 month old twin boys. Even though they didn't come from my body they are still "mine". Not really jumping on you, but it's just a pet peeve of mine. Just because my sons aren't biological doesn't mean they aren't "mine" or "my own" children. My sons look just like my husband, didn't come from either one of our genes and they are still most definately "ours".

Sorry, had to get that off my chest.

Well, I certainly didn't mean to offend or imply that adopted children don't really belong to their parents. I'm the product of 2 adopted people meeting, marrying, procreating. My dad was fully adopted and my mom was 1/2 adopted (her bio father was psycho and left and she was adopted by grandma's next husband). I have a cousin who has aadopted 2 children as well as has biological children and dh and I have plans in the future to adopt. I just don't really see a difference between bio and adopted kids as to who is more the parents. And I guess, rereading my comments, it did come off that a child being biological makes them more the parents. Again - I apologize b/c it's not what I meant.

You didn't offend me really. I know people just say it without even thinking about it, so sometimes it just peeves me. I just like to let people know because it kind of hurts our feelings when people think or say our adopted children aren't our "real" children.

My brother is adopted and my paternal grandmother once said to a group of family members that it was sad there were no boys to carry on the family name. When my aunt mentioned my brother, my grandma replied "Yeah, but he's not really a So & So". I'm just ultra sensative to it because of her.

I just was doing my adoption crusader thing. Not necessarily to you, but maybe if someone else read it they would think about stuff like that. I don't even like it when adoptive parents or people considering adoption say stuff like "since we don't have any children of our own." My siblings are just as much my parents' kids as I am, biology is just a bunch of chromosomes.

So I'm not offended and I hope I didn't come off bitchy, just like people to be aware.

I love 7th Heaven and used to never miss it until Fear Factor started. I taped 7th for awhile then just stopped. I watched bits and pieces Monday night because I heard previews of the season finale and it sounded good (on the radio! LOL)

I *LOVE* Ruthie and have really enjoyed watching her grow into a beautiful young lady. I started watching 7th from the first episode! I was in love with the dad, Eric! :o) Ruthie a lot of times really makes the show I think.
