The new season of "Dexter" has added yet another new face to its cast.

"Eli Stone" star Jonny Lee Miller has joined the Showtime series for a multi-episode arc, Variety reports. As with the other new additions to the show -- and the brief return of former regular Julie Benz -- details of his role are being kept close to the vest.

We do know, however, that Miller's character will somehow be involved with the equally mysterious character played by Julia Stiles.

Miller is the fourth new face on the show this season, joining Stiles, Shawn Hatosy ("Southland") and Maria Doyle Kennedy ("The Tudors"), who will play Dexter's (Michael C. Hall) nanny.

The role will be Miller's first on American TV since "Eli Stone" ended last year. He also starred in a BBC miniseries adaptation of Jane Austen's "Emma" last fall.

I feel like I'm in limbo until BB starts but happy with TB (and the others I'm watching)... remember, Hung (about the male hooker) starts soon and it's right after TB so be sure to tune into that one too :)

Yes, all Dexter books start with Dexter and then some other words... can't think of them now (one is Dexter in The Dark) but I know the one being released in Sept. is going to be called Dexter is Delicious, ROFL!

The first Dex book is just like the first season of Dex (they stayed pretty true) - with two Major Differences and a smaller difference (in my mind) so you have to read it. Then the show cherry picks from the books and they get really far apart. I read the books simply because of one of those major diff's :). Plus they are hilarious (8x more funny than the show)

I can't remember shows I watched last week, let alone a few months ago!!! I'm sure Showtime will replay the season, if they aren't already... although, it may be worth watching all of them over again. :) So creepy Quinn, Deb and the new guy?

I have the first book, maybe second, but I have never read them. Just like the Sookie books. I read a lot, but a lot of non fiction and always have a stack to read. The only "revolving" store credit card I have is to Amazon :) although I just discovered this beautiful building down the street called a library. lol It has saved me at least a hundred already. So, back to the Dexter books, do you recommend them? Different from the series? I'm having deja vu, I'm sure we've talked about the books before.

Have you ever read the books? I just finished the 4th and am waiting for the 5th to be released in September.

I am glad they got Dex a nanny. I was worried they were going to try domesticate him with some help from Deb. Aren't Quinn, smarmy guy, and Deb going to get together? They are partners now, right?, and didn't they allude to that in the season finale? I wonder if I saved that in the DVR...

I love the Trinity family storyline - I think that will be awesome!

Where to begin???

I didn't like Maria Doyle Kennedy on the Tudors, but perhaps it is just how they abused her character on that show. I always wonder when someone talks with an accent on one show if they really have one. Hmmm.

The Southland guy... I have no idea, but, it makes me hope that the smarmy detective from last season will be gone!

I guess I can take an episode of Rita, it maybe good to tie up things. I loved Rita in season 1, they just had to ruin her character... made it easy for all of us to hate her before they KILLED her!!!

It all makes me sooo antsy for Dexter!!! What a fantastic show!!! And Trinity's family making trouble... CAN'T WAIT!!!
