Hi all

I'm new to the board and not sure really where to post this.

I was just on my way here to post the same thing! We watched the first season and couldn't wait for the second to start. It's sorta a very well-done night-time soap opera in a way and feels much like the old Upstairs, Downstairs did many years ago. Except....DA is MUCH BETTER!!! We've talked at home here how we believe nowdays we would find UD not so great, since acting and production and filming has simply improved by leaps and bounds thru the years. My husband and I are big time British t.v. fans, and we seem to enjoy most of all things set back in time, from about 1900-1950 or so. We also love seeing the same actors/faces popping up in all kinds of shows. Hugh Bonneville was just in a series we watched on Netflix awhile back, he was equally good in it. He seems to be playing his DA role to the hilt, alternating between being a genuinely good guy and never able to forget to be a bit haughty at times, too. I think he's my favorite character on the show. I think! Don't you want Matthew and Mary to end up together?

Well, Friday I had made this long reply to your post, but when I went to post it, the stupid computer glitched and wiped out the whole thing.

I keep hearing about it, I'm definitely going to have to catch up on it. I think I saw it on netflix streaming. :)

I'm glad you posted your thoughts as it gives me a better idea of what it is (or isn't, lol). :)

Just another reason I need to get Netflix ;) I really want to watch the show, just don't like to watch without starting at the beginning.
