Just starting a thread for tonite's ER shows -- the hour retrospective and then the two-hour finale.

I think I'm going to try to stay up and catch it too.

I liked seeing the entire hospital also. That was the only thing that made me say wow. I thought the finale would be a little different. Still sad to see it go.

I really enjoyed it and liked how they brought back bits and pieces from earlier epis. Like Morris sleeping when the nurse came to wake him and that same thing was done with Greene years ago.

I liked how it was just normal and life goes on and that we really weren't left wanting to know something that we just were not going to find out.

I did not cry as much as I thought I would. It was sad when the mom of twins died. A little close to home for us. Dh said that is what it looked like after I had Leo except they did not have to bag me are rush me to surgery. He said he had a hard time watching that.

This is a series that I would like to get on dvd, but when would I really have time to watch them all?

Check out the links in today's news post ... there's a ton about ER's finale.

I read somewhere that the show was ABOUT the ER not about George or Noah or Sherry ... so the idea was that it ended on a major trauma happening and life goes on.

I did love how they had everyone on ... Malik and the blond nurse (whose name escapes me).

but I didn't find the episode THAT special.

***
Me either. I wasn't that impressed.

I cried a little during the retrospective when Alex Kingston was talking about Mark Greene's last episode. I remember watching that episode when it originally aired and I bawled, so that made me tear up again.

I also cried with the old couple while the wife was dying.

I'm glad that Sam and Tony were holding hands towards the end. That car was awesome.

Alexis Bleidel (sp?) was cute, but they didn't really explain why new interns were suddenly there.

I was sad when she found out that the mom of the twins died.

This episode didn't hit me like other series finales that I have seen. I guess it just wasn't what I was expecting.
