I missed the 1st episode of this season but I have caught the rest. I see that her african-american assistant(can't remember what his name or correct job title is) isn't working for her anymore. What happened? (there has always been that sexual tension between them) In the last episode he appeared at the end & it was clear that he is still involved with the lawyer, but they didn't say why he wasn't working anymore.

Well, I'm unclear about alot of it, lol, but Amy got a job in the superior court and moved out of the juvenile division. The reason Donna is working for her is that Amy "fired" the guy she inherited and brought Donna in. I don't know what Bruce is doing, but I got the impression that both Donna and Bruce lost their jobs when Amy moved.

Thank you.

That makes sense. I was guessing that he was having trouble dealing with his feelings about both Amy & his girlfriend so he left his job.

Thanks again,

Yep Amy was given a promotion to criminal court and when she went she inherited the old judges staff. She fired the one guy because he was telling her what to do and just totally over stepping his bounds so she brought Donna in. DOnna was the only one who lost their job when Amy moved on. Bruce stayed in the juv. court wiht the judge who took Amy's place. Why Donna was the only one fired I have no clue. I always loved the sexual tension between Amy and Bruce and I am a little disappointed that she is marrying Stu. I hope since Zola and Bruce just broke up< or I should say since Bruce dumped on her butt for being a "warrior", that Amy and him will get together. There is definatly chemistry between them too.

ITA about Bruce & Amy!!! Especially since Bruce no longer works for her! It wouldn't be against the rules. Although I would love to watch their sexual tension play it self out, I have a feeling they wouldn't work out in the long run.

I really like this show! Yes, there is something between Bruce and Amy, but I don't think they should act on it, as there is no way they would be that good together or last. It would just cause hard feelings and ruin their friendship. While I like Amy, let's face it - she is pretty flakey. And Bruce hasn't got an ounce of quirkiness in him to meld with Amy's flakiness. Bruce is strong, steadfast, and has deep moral convictions. Sometimes it's hard to believe Amy is...how old...?... in her 30's, I guess? I'm guessing she and 'David'? will be getting together. I feel sorry for Stu, even though he and Amy didn't belong together either. Can you believe that Amy didn't have the sense to figure that out until she walked down the aisle?! Another example of her flakiness.

All that aside, I love how this show has so many quirky characters - Maxine, Sean, Donna, and even Stu's mother, although I guess she won't be staying on in the show.

She should have figured out there was something seriously wrong with her relationship with Stu when she couldn't cry with him when her stepfather-to-be was killed in that plane crash. Finally, at the end, as soon as she saw Bruce at the door she flung herself into his arms and started bawling. Big sign there!

I love this show and all the other characters too!
