OMG, I cannot tell you the apprehension I have about LOST going into the season finale.

Last night was a great episode for sure. My favorite moment was Sawyer telling Jack about his encounter with Jack's dad. I got all choked up LOL.

There's a lot of creepiness going on, and I'm anxious for Locke to explain his opinion of why they're all there (the island brought us here...) Looks like next week will be a MAJOR nailbiter!! Lots of intensity.

I really liked last night's episode too....

I was really happy that Jin and Sun reconciled ...

I must disagree with you on the HS teacher --- I don't think he's a "red shirt", I think he'll be one of the "new" characters that come more into play next season --- (didn't someone here say that we'd get to know some of the other castaways more?). We'll just have to wait and see ..... :-) My question about the crew going to get the TNT is why did the big guy (the lottery winner ... can't remember his name) go with them?? Oh...also...didn't that buried chamber have those crazy numbers on it...when are he and the french lady gonna notice??? :-)

I also loved that Sawyer told Jack about his dad --- that was a pretty emotional scene. I think the raft will somehow be OK ... seems like Sawyer and Kate will somehow hook up again??? boy, Kate is really missed up in her "previous life" ... she staged the robbery and ended up killing that other guy just to get the toy airplane! wow!

That was pretty creepy about the connection between the black smoke and the "others" coming to take the french lady's baby --- and then her focus on Claire's baby there for a little bit. Did we already know that the french lady had been pregnant when she landed on the island?

I'm also interested to see how the how Sayid's bag in the airport thing works out....

so many interesting things to still find out about!

I was dying last night, but only because my 4 year old would not leave me alone and kept talking to me and I kept telling him to please go in the other room cause it is very important that I listen to what is going on on the show....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

I LOVED that Sawyer told Jack about what his dad said, that made me cry and I felt so proud of Sawyer for telling him and not being the prick that he is.

Arzt was only shown on one previous episode (except maybe in the background, etc.) Just last week he was explaining to the people building the ship that they needed to get their move on because of trade winds, etc. so they don't end up sailing to Antartica :) (He's a geography teacher) When asked when they should leave, his answer was "Yesterday." That's why there was such a huge push by everyone to get the boat on its way.

I hope he isn't a "red shirt" character. He seems like fun. I'd like to get to know him more :)

I really enjoyed last night's episode.

I'm glad that Jin and Sun reconciled before he went out on the raft. I have to agree with the person who said that nothing good can come of them being out on the raft.

I'm just not sure what I think of the French lady. Is she trying to help them or is she leading them right into something bad? It's all very confusing to me.

I'm glad to see a softer side of Sawyer. Both DH and I both said that we're enjoying this other side of Sawyer. I still like his rough edge, but I'm glad he's dumped the jerk off attitude.

Dh and I both enjoyed watching the shots of everyone before they boarded the Oceanic flight. It was very cool to see all the characters' lives mixing together.

I'm looking forward to next week - It looks like they're going to end this season with more questions than answers! The suspense is going to kill me! :)

ROFL, Robanne, at your comment about the "red shirt" guy!!! DH and I thought the SAME THING!! I love this show, too, and I will not be watching AI, either - I'll be watching 2 hours of LOST and maybe catch the end of AI to see who wins (or maybe not - I can just jump on here! LOL!!). I'll be taping LOST anyway, b/c DH and I love to go back and review and analyze things.

I have heard some really interesting things about the finale (in Thursday, 5/19's edition of the Wall Street Journal in the Entertainment section): WARNING:Somewhat spoiler stuff, so don't read if you don't want to know, but it's out there already anyway if you want to find it:

"Damon Lindelof, the co-creator of "Lost", says he loosely modeled the season finale on "The Empire Strikes Back." That movie satisfied fans by resolving the question of Luke's father, but also planting the seeds for the next installment when Han Solo is kidnapped.

Among the questions that will be answered: Island dwellers will finally open the mysterious hatch, and viewers will catch a glimpse of the monster that devoured the pilot in the first episode. But many mysteries will go unsolved, including

At first, I thought Arst would be the next one killed since we just started seeing him, however, now I'm wondering if he is one of

Not quite: Hurley DID know Arzst's name from the Manifest: He said something like "Hey dude, Leslie is a cool name" but Leslie obviously doesn't think so. So he is not likely one of the Others. I also thought he was a red shirt...when he backed off the first time I said "Oh, we're not gonna see him again."

I agree, will we see the woman who tried to swap with Jack later????
