I am a big fan of both Deschanel sisters and love pretty much everything Zooey does, but I'm not so sure about New Girl. It's a critic favorite, but I don't know. I thought it was cute, but she is REALLY odd in it. REALLY odd. Almost unbelievably odd.

LOL On the jazz hands - YES!
I thought last night's episode was much better and she wasn't as odd. Not as much singing to herself which I found a relief.
The guys that are playing her roommates were as I expected except for the one that's supposed to be totally full of himself that they assigned the "douche jar" to. Is it just me or did he not come off as the least bit straight or womanizing? I think the writers were trying to make him like Barney on HIMYM, but I'd say it was an epic fail. It just seemed like any minute he was going to bust out with jazz hands or something.
