Something bugging me about Friends...

Okay- tell me if anyone else has noticed this. Everybody is so upset that Rachel is moving to Paris. Ross doesn't know what he will do without Rachel, how will he ever get by without Rachel?, blah, blah, blah. WHAT ABOUT EMMA??!!! Remember, that baby that you two had together? I've been watching the whole time, and have yet to hear anyone talk about Emma! Rachel did pack some of her things for Paris, but Ross hasn't said anything about her taking THIER CHILD across the world, nothing about missing HIS daughter! Did I miss something here? Even in the promo, as Rachel is getting on the plane, I don't recall seeing Emma with her? (Correct me if I'm wrong on this one!) Has anyone else notcied/bee bothered by this? I know that kids are very convienient in all sit-coms, but come on! This is a bit extreme. Thanks for letting me get that off my chest! :)

I've noticed in the past that Emma is little more than window dressing on the show. She is constantly taking a nap while Rachel runs around. It does bug me a bit. But then the show hasn't always been all that realistic. How exactly do they all afford designer items? Especially during those seasons when some were unemployed?

My dh is in education and got really mad when Ross got tenure. He was wondering how in the world this guys who never actually works or does ANYTHING managed to get tenure! LOL!

When she announced she got the job she told Ross that the company would fly him over and fly her and Emma back home whenever they wanted. But I do wonder where she is when Rachel gets on the plane. I also wondered who was watching her when Rachel ran over to say goodbye to Ross. And why Ross would go into the apartment yelling when his child was asleep. It seems they forget about that kid a lot, child abuse I tell ya.

I agree, but I have missed a few episodes this year. I do remember when Ross proposed to Emily, she wanted him to move to England and he said "no way, I could never leave Ben". However, this issue hasn't come up with Emma/Rachel as far as I can see. Yes, quite unrealistic, but do you really thing she is moving??

I had been thinking that maybe Ross would move with her. But then I had totally forgotten about Ben. He has gotten less air time then even Emma!

My guess on the situation is that Emma is going to stay behind in the US until Rachel gets settled and then she will come back and get her. HOWEVER, Rachel isn't going to move, at least not alone. Ross and Phoebe run to the airport and try to stop her, but it seems like she still goes, but then she will get off the plane at the last minute and go find Ross, who will then immediately propose to Rachel. She will accept and either forget Paris, or Ross will give up Tenure and move to Paris with her and Emma leaving Chandler and Monica to move away with their twins and Phoebe and Mike staying in NYC beginning their new life together. That's just my prediction. Brooke ( a true friends junkie)

I noticed that too in the commercial - where is Emma when Rachel is getting on the plane?

I remember when Emma was born that the writers said that they didn't plan to incorporate her too much into the story lines. That the essense of the show would remain the same. Or something like that.

well, i hope everyone watched and got their answer to the $10million question of 'Where is Emma when Rachel gets on the plane?' as for everything else, come on, didn't we all know that ross and rachel HAD to end up together! not for nothing...i mean, they had me sobbing at the end! :)
