I have watched part of the first season of True Blood, haven't been able to get into it yet. Does it get better? How do the books compare?
The 1st season pretty much stays true to the book except for 3 big differences. Also, I believe they take something from the 2nd book and put it in the first show? The others need to help me out here! The books are much better, as is always this case, and they are hilarious - really - laugh out loud! What it is that you're not getting into? Where are you at in the show? Are you finding a bit slow at the point you're at?

I loved the Twilight books and have been recommended several times to read these ones. Knowing season 2 is coming soon, I watched a few episodes on demand and keep waiting for it to suck me and it just hasn't. I like it, but don't love it.
I wonder if it has a slow build up, I'm not sure which episode I finished or if the whole twilight thing ruined vampire movies, books, for me for awhile. I plan to keep watching a couple more, the bf is going out of state to visit family for awhile next weekend, which will leave me much needed time and energy for myself.
I don't know anything about the twilight jazz - it's about kids, right?

The boyfriend-- Benjamin "Coach" Wade-- has been called worse things then a vampire!!! :) Actually, the boyfriend definitely drains the energy from me... and not in necessarily good ways.
