Can I just say that after reading the books, I am really hoping the show "speeds up" a little?
That's the seventh one, right?
I like Quinn too - it just seemed so slow, and hardly any action. IDK, I looked up at one point and was on page 128 and I was like - where's the action, man?? Other than Holly's boy being kidnapped and Sookie discovering him before that. Then the Pelts again. I was yelling - Kill Them All Already!
The thing about Quinn tho - he's never around (months at a time) and there's something hinky about him. I hate seeing Sookie get hurt again, kwim? Plus I am wondering about the getting blood from Eric for the magical number 3rd time and she's
I think I *like* that he's gone for long periods of time though - she seems like she'd be very independent, and maybe that would work for her?
I never liked Quinn. I think I was just wanting her with Eric too much to entertain the idea of him. I love tigers though, just not the man. Eric seems so sweet when he isn't trying to act so tough, and Bill screwed up one too many times.
Dead and Gone comes out May 5th and I'm really excited. I can't wait to see what happens after Dead to Worse! I'll probably have to reread all the books though, I'm kind of fuzzy on some of the events. I never really read any vampire books until Sookie; now my bookcase is filled with them. My other favorite vampire series is Undead and Unwed series by Mary Janice Davidson. Very funny books! And definitely check out Charlain Harris' Harper Connelly series; very good. Although, the Shakespeare Mysteries weren't her best work, they were alright. I bought the first 3 books of the Aurora series which I'm going to read after the Michelle Bardsley vampire series I'm currently reading.
In case anyone wants to read the Harper series and wants no spoilers the part below is in white.
What skeeved you out? The whole step brother and step sister having relations? It is a bit disturbing; they were calling each other brother and sister not too long ago. I think they never really felt like brother and sister b/c they were always taking care of the siblings, like a husband and wife would do. Maybe that's why they never saw each other as siblings. That's the only way I can look at it b/c otherwise it is just gross! A part of me was skeeved out as you were but another part was relieved that the obvious and unrelenting sexual tension being built by the author was finally explored; so now we can stop reading about the oh so conflicting emotions (that was starting to irritate me). It'll be interesting to see where she goes with this relationship in the next book coming out in October.
LOL at white spoiler.
I am new to the whole world of True Blood and I am still trying to figure out what is going on and whether I really like it.
I did all the Anne Rice ones back in the day and they are completely different. I liked that Quinn killed Andre!! For once I am not reading the spoiler - LOL!! I want to start on that Harper Connelly series not knowing anything.
Totally OT - did BF call? Or is that to nosy? Sorry if it is!
