I GOT IT!! Yesterday I got Dead to Worse!! It's hardback cause the paperback isn't out yet (here anyway) and I'm 3/4 way done cause DH made me put it down. dammit. Something about having things to do or some such lies! Lies! Two shockers already....
I have to go cook b-fast and do some laundry then I'm back in. But I'm almost done. SOB!!! We have to wait till May? Fa-shizzle?? SOB again!!
So is this Harper series a Sookie series too?
I am reading about this right now! I am likeing how the books are pretty ture to the show so far. I can't wait for it to come back on!
The Dark Tower series is actually pretty good! It can be really, really dry in some places; a problem with a few of his books (mainly during the beginning). Once you get into it though it is really quite an amazing story, albeit a long one. The most amazing thing about it is the way he weaves elements from so many of his other books (Insomnia, The Stand, Pet Cemetary, and others), books from other authors (Wizard of Oz jumps particularly in my mind and maybe a little of The Little Engine that Could), and even puts himself into the story (the ultimate in narcissism! =) ). Plus they started making a few comic books about the main character before the events in the books take place (basically prequels with pictures, and they are soo much shorter than the books!). It's definitely worth looking into if you can look past the dry parts. The best part for me was revealing the necessity of one of the character's survival in Insomnia. It was so amazing to finally find out why since one of the few things I disliked about the book was it never explained that part; I just didn't know that he would explain it in another book.
