Angus T. Jones, aka Jake on Two and a Half Men, has blasted the series as "filth" and suggested that people should stop watching. In a video for the Forerunner Christian Church, which is based in Fremont, California, Angus says:

"If you watch 'Two and a Half Men,' please stop watching 'Two and a Half Men.' I'm on 'Two and a Half Men' and I don't want to be on it. Please stop watching it and filling your head with filth. People say it’s just entertainment. Do some research on the effects of television and your brain, and I promise you you’ll have a decision to make when it comes to television, especially with what you watch."

I watched both the videos in the article and I'll admit to being a bit confused about his message. Toward the end of the second video, he says that compromise isn't the answer; you have to fully commit to one side or the other. If he sees the television show as being on the other side (as in a tool of Satan), then why continue to be a part of it?

Thoughts?

According to Merriam-Webster that is a hypocrite ( a person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings ). I'd fire him if I were in charge.

I do agree with his assessment of the show!

Wow...  In the second part of his testimonies, toward the end, I did hear the other guy saying something about "He's walked away from it"... does he mean that Angus has chosen to step down from the series? If so, wonder why Angus himself didn't say so; it seems to me that would have a greater impact than someone else implying it.

Yep I'd call him a hypocrite too. How convenient for him to say the show is filth and people shouldn't watch all the while being the highest paid child actor on tv right now. I guess he can buy a ton of soap to wash off all that filth with all that money. Now if he is sincere in his so called new anti-tv belief then I await his retirement and complete disappearance from the tv industry. That means no new shows, no guest appearances, and no producing. If tv really is as harmful as he claims then he should want nothing to do with any part of it and have plans to live his life completely differently. As for why he may not have announced he's leaving? Perhaps he is obligated under contract to stay on for quite some time. Or perhaps he's hoping that causing all of this drama will get him fired and replaced like Charlie Sheen was.
