Grey's Anatomy

Though she got Derek (Patrick Dempsey) shot in season finale of Grey's Anatomy, Dr. April Kepner (Sarah Drew) is here to stay.

Jesse Williams promoted to series regular on Grey's Anatomy

Drew, who also starred in Everwood, has been promoted to series regular, an ABC rep says.

The 29-year-old actress and co-star Jesse Williams are the remaining Mercy Westers returning next season. Both Nora Zehetner and Robert Baker's characters were axed in the killer finale.

What do you think will be the drama surrounding April next season (including her crush on McDreamy, getting the boss shot and having a mental break down)?

Eesh. Maybe they will have her as a PATIENT in the psych ward. I could tolerate that.

I agree she needs to spend some time in the psych ward. She's done nothing but cause drama and get other people injured/killed since she got there and yet there's no personal development. I might like her more if she went through a major growth period and spent some time with the shrink that Meredith was seeing for awhile. I'd really really like her if she finally realized she's not cut out to be a surgeon and switched to nursing or something. She sucks in a crisis, she completely lacks confidence, and she's just plain annoying.

Since she did get Derrick shot (the stress of which lead to Meredith's miscarriage too!) I bet we'll see a little Mean Girls action from Meredith and Christina, that would be entertaining.

lol on the mean girl action... that might make it worthwhile, but with her I just see it ending badly. They HAVE to do some major reformation for that character to be redeemable but Grey's seems to like the underdogs.
