Well? What did you think?

Did you see Drew and Kevin at the hot dog stand? I LOVE them!

I felt so bad for the kids when mom fell under the buggy. I can't imagine going through the loss of their father and then having that happen to their mom? Freaky.

When Phil said, "This is the black family" I almost spit out my soda. Then I realized it was their last name. LOL

Do NOT like the Paolo family. What a bunch of disrespectful sons. YUCK. Hope they're next to go.

I felt like the tasks were pretty good. The famiies w/ kids had an advantage on the buggy, but a disadvantage on the boats, ya know?

Overall, not too bad. So excited that it has started again.

I saw Drew and Kevin, too, but at the time, it didn't hit me that they were the same Drew and Kevin from a previous AR, lol. That was cool! I agree with you about the Paolo family. It's just disgusting to see that much obnoxouisness. They are so annoying! I was rooting for the Black family, just because they live the closest to where I live, but now I'm rooting for the family with the 2 little kids, the Gaghan(?) family. Their little girl is so cute! Did anyone else notice, when they were setting up the tents, that there were teams helping each other? I was under the impression that teams were not allowed to help other teams with a task, but I guess I was wrong. This looks like a really fun AR, even if they just stay in the US.

I half watched it, but have it on tape so I need to watch it.

There were a few families that I didn't care for and a few that I was rooting for.

I have to sit and watch it in the next couple of days.

I loved it, except the Black family being voted off. It was funny, I was like, "No, he did NOT just say that!" even though I knew that was their last name from reading their bio weeks ago, DUH! I really wanted to see the younger kids make it a bit further and they seemed like a nice enough family. I didn't understand why those two teams put the kids in the back of the boats, put them in front of you so you can coach them and so that you are doing more of the power rowing and steering! But, they all did well. That little blond girl is a little spitfire, I love her!!

I'm too lazy to go look for their names but I am so hoping that obnoxious, loud family goes home quickly - but that usually means they make it to the end when I say that. Those kids need to be put in their place, especially the younger son! The 3 brothers/1 sister team I really like so I hope their performance this week doesn't continue and they make it far. The 4 sisters, I liked them alot except all the screaming - which I admit, I would be doing, too. The Dad in that one family with the boy/girl/stepmom, one second I liked him and the next second he'd say something and I'd dislike him intensely. What a mouth!

The tasks did seem fair to me, that was good. And those kids sure didn't have trouble keeping up with everyone running, that was great! Especially the foot race with the two teams and the little girl outrunning the other team. Is this the first time they have stayed in the United States for the first round, is this whole race going to be in this country? Or at least this continent?

I was a little disappointed. I always enjoy when they leave the comfort of the Western world and are forced to get around in countries where people don't speak much English and where the cultures are so different. But, I love this show, so I'll keep watching.

Was anyone else disturbed by the fact that some of the teenagers are driving? Teenagers aren't great drivers in general (there are studies showing this--there reflexes aren't great, they get distracted too easily, they think nothing will happen to them, etc.), but to put them behind a wheel in a high pressured race seems awfully dangerous. And did you notice the one girl (I think she was one of the widow's daughters) driving one-handed with her leg bent and her foot up on the seat? That's real safe... And the previews for next week show one of the obnoxius sons driving while turning around and yelling at his mom.

At this point I'm rooting for the 2 Chicago teams.

I totally agree about the Paolo family. Those boys are just obnoxious. I know the mom said that they argue alot and that is the way they are, but they need to show some respect. I didn't like them right at the beginning when the one son said that his dad is always telling him about what he didn't have growing up but he doesn't care and he isn't going to feel bad for having stuff. Well, who does he think worked hard to get him the stuff!!!!

I also don't like the family with the Dad, stepmom, and 2 kids. The dad is just obnoxious beyond belief. He said a few things that were very off color.

I felt so bad at the end because I liked the Black family and the the siblings. I didn't want either to be eliminated.

Can't wait for next week.

Kathy, I was thinking about booster seat laws. If that family with the two young kids drives through WY, they're going to need a booster seat for the little girl. I wonder if the show thought about that.

I like how at the beginning they seemed to take some time and really introduce all of the teams and the team members. I don't remember them taking that much time before.
