I don't care what anyone says - Rob is a genius! That man just has a way of making things work in his favor and I don't know how he manages to do it. I really wonder if Debbie and Bianca were sitting at home last night just screaming at the TV about him stealing their cab, LOL. Then him convincing those other teams to just give up and take the penalty AFTER his time started counting down, brilliant! They were lucky to get to the Yield first, too, they should hope they make it first every time because some of those teams are really out to get them.

I was really impressed with all of those who ate all that food, no way could I have done that! We were cracking up at Uchenna, he cleaned some of those bones and they didn't show him gagging too much. Very impressive to me. Ron was, too, finishing all of that while obviously so miserable. The girl at the end impressed me the most, though, I never thought she'd make it. I'd have much rather seen them stay and the Mother/Son team go but that's okay.

So far, I don't have an absolute favorite besides Amber and Rob, but I really don't think it would be fair for them to win when they've already won. Of course, that was a different game and if they play this one the best, then they would deserve it, I just don't think it would give me the warm fuzzies like when Chip and Kim won it :) However, I couldn't say who else I want to win it at this point. Uchenna and Joyce are pretty cool, treat each other well, treat others well and are good, so I think they are my second favorite team. The rest I'm just kind of "eh" about except I do NOT like the Mother/Son, mostly the Son, team. The gay couple, they were okay but last night I just couldn't stand them every time they were on. Next week, they'll do something and I'll love them again, probably, LOL!

My favorite moment of the show was Phil trying not to laugh as Rob and Amber bounced on to the pit stop mat :)

Not only did he pull it off ... but I'm guessing those other two teams that sat it out were actually very appreciative that he gave them the idea to sit out and avoid having to eat all that stuff! You gotta hand it to him...he's a very smart guy when it comes to playin' these games!

Too bad the two girls got sooooo of track on the drive. (I'd criticize more, except I'm sooo bad with maps, I would've probably done the same thing! LOL) anyway -- after that, I felt they really did deserve to be the ones elimated in this leg .. that was just a huge mistake. (not that the mom and son were *much* better --- but they didn't get quite so off track) I hope they are eliminated soon, though....I don't really like watching their interactions with eachother much.

As far as my favorite teams --- I like Amber and Rob, and the gay guys are growing on me (I enjoyed watching them demo how they pulled ahead of A&R during the raft race LOL), and I also like the brothers.

I agree! Rob is an absolute genius when playing these games. I totally missed the first half (have it taped so I'll watch it later) but when I saw him getting ready to quit eating, I was like "What is he thinking???" and then when I heard him convincing the other team to quit..... my jaw was on the floor because I could not believe he was going to pull off something like that. No other team has ever quit on purpose huh?

I felt kinda bad that the 2 girls went home, because I don't like the mom and son either. I thought, like Phil, that they were going to go far when they came in 1st on the first show.

Go Boston Rob!!! (and Amber too....)

Rob's move was risky, but brilliant. He is starting to grow on me.....but not a favorite yet. He certainly is playing the game and that is what you need to do to win. I couldn't figure out how the girls got so off track....since their spanish was suppose to be soooo good, they couldn't figure out they were off track?? I would have liked to see them around more....if anything to cause a little more conflicts with Rob since he seemed to get such a kick out of giving them a hard time.

No true favorite teams for me yet either...I could handle just about any of them winning at this point in the game.

I agree with everyone that Rob is so sharp and really knows how to work things to his advantage. I think, though, that he did Meredith/Gretchen and Ray/Deanna a huge favor in giving them the idea to quit. Meredith and Deanna would not have been able to finish the task, anyway.

Notice how Rob and Amber do not argue? They just do what they have to do.

Loved when Phil asked Rob how he gets people to do what he wants them to and Rob said, "Sometimes I wonder myself."

The girl/girl team who were eliminated must have choked on their humble pie. The first episode, they were so confident because one of them knew Spanish. I laughed when they saw the ocean and it dawned on them that something was wrong -- duh!

The son of the mother/son team is pretty immature for a 25 year old. I give him credit for eating all that meat, though.

Couldn't believe Uchenna! He really put that meat away! I felt bad that they weren't first.

I didn't like Lynn/Alex at the fish market, last week. They were such jerks! They did a good job, this week, but need to lose their obsession with Rob and focus their energies on playing the game. Though if I were them I'd have probably yielded Rob/Amber if I had the chance. Rob is just too good a player.

Question: Is it "legal" to make yourself vomit during the task to make room for more food?

Can't wait for next week!

I agree - Rob is such a schemer - & he has this ability to convince the others to do stuff.

DH and I had the greatest conversation about why we love Rob. He is kind, smart, just the right amount of devious, easy going and knows exactly how to play the game. All you have to be concerned about is not being last each leg of the race. The only time it matters to come in first is the final leg. No one -- past or present -- has gotten that. Just Rob. It's sometimes hilarious to watch these teams pushing and shoving and scrambling to be first when it really doesn't matter. Rob's kindness and easy going nature was in evidence again last night. He'd asked a man on the street to show them on a map where the parking garage was and Rob very kindly says, "Will you take us there?" And, bingo!, the man is escorting them to the garage! All the other teams are acting like lunatics hailing cabs. He and Amber get along great. I've not seen them lose their temper with each other at all. They're both easy going and 'whatever happens, happens'. DH and I both said we'd easily be able to sit down with them for a beer and a conversation. And I have to put a plug in for his accent -- LOVE it! I'm a New England girl and we lived in Boston for many years.

Gotta disagree with whoever it was who said she liked the brothers. I really don't like them. They are annoying. And they seriously need some wardrobe help -- the stupid headgear and sunglasses have got to go!

Uchenna and his wife seem nice, but we haven't really seen that much of them, have we? I feel like they haven't gotten as much 'air time' as everyone else. Maybe that's because they are nice and are not doing anything so radical that it requires extra attention.

The gay couple have got to get over the obsession with Rob and Amber. They will surely lose if that's their only motivation. (I wonder when the teams meet each other? Did the others know about Rob and Amber ahead of time? Or do they all meet for the first time when Phil starts them off?) And what is their problem with Rob and Amber, anyway? Is it just that they were on Survivor? Come on! Grow up and move on.

I felt bad that the girl had to eat all that meat and then be eliminated. I was hoping this was a non-elimination round just so she wouldn't have to feel she did that for nothing. And did you hear the compliment Rob gave her? He said 'She's tough. I know she can eat it.' But I can't excuse the girls for reading the clue wrong. This is a race with rules to follow so you'd best be darned sure you understand what the clue says before you start off. If the clue says 'drive yourself through the Andes' and you're admiring the ocean. . . . Duh!

Still don't like the mother and son. They don't seem to have a very good relationship -- didn't like the way she harped on him to finish the meat.

Meredith and Gretchen(?) still seem to sort of be coasting along. I'm glad they were able to see the wisdom in Rob's plan so Meredith didn't have to deal with the meat.

Deanna (?) and her boyfriend -- still don't know about them. They also seem to be one of those couples we don't see much of which surprises me. They way they were introduced made them look like a volatile couple. Maybe that will change next week. The previews seemed to show them having words with each other.

I'm absolutely 100% Lynn and Alex *would* have yielded Rob and Amber if they'd had the chance.

I completely agree with you! No matter what your opinion of Rob is, you have to admit that the guy is a genius. He somehow convinced other teams that THEY shouldn't finish the challenge too. Even Phil thought it was amazing.

I really don't care for the boyfriends. There's just something about them that rubs me the wrong way (and it's NOT because they're gay!). One thing I know -- all these teams better stop worrying so much about Rob and Amber though. That's a sure-fire way to get yourself eliminated. Concentrate on your own race and not on what other teams are doing. The mother and son were obsessed with them last week and this week it was Lynn and Alex.

I don't know that I've really connected with any teams this time around. Perhaps it's because of Rob and Amber? Maybe I'm not getting to know other teams because I already know them? *shrug* I don't know, I just don't have an absolute favorite team right now.

Can't wait for next week!
