AR Finale - spoilers (m)

Part of me is disappointed that Rob and Amber didn't win, BUT I'm also happy that it was Uchenna and Joyce. I'm happy that they seem to have renewed their marriage and will now be able to get the baby they both long for. Good for them! I suspect Ron and Kelly won't stay together. They aren't in the same place in their life and it won't do any good to try and force each other to do things they aren't ready to do. :(

I'm going to tape The Early Show tomorrow morning. I enjoy watching the teams post-race.

I'm sad this season is done. :*0(

I couldn't STAND Ron & Kelly, so couldn't have cared less that they weren't even close. I didn't like Rob & Amber, either, but liked them more than R & K. I was REALLY rooting for U & J, so I am SOOOOOO glad that they won! I was convinced at the airport that R & A were going to win and U & J were getting shut out--what a COOL thing that the pilot did by letting them on the flight! Then, I forgot that they had no $$$, so I got really worried that they wouldn't prevail. Obviously, R & A were closer to U & J than the final race to the mat indicated, so they must have held back R & A when U & J hit the mat first so as not to "ruin their moment."

SO happy for them.

Agree with all you said, I was rooting for Rob and Amber too, but am thrilled that Uchenna & Joyce won. I suspect that Uchenna & Joyce would put the million to a much better use.

And hats off to them for starting the last leg with NO money and falling so far behind, to come back and WIN IT! Good for them!

I was amused by the *previews* of "Rob and Amber Get Married".

I'm usually a lurker, but just wanted to comment on something I noticed. At the beginning, before they showed the credits, just after they said, "Who will win the Amazing Race", they showed the racers in the order in which they won--U/J; R/A; then R/K. I wonder if it was just a coincidence or if they meant to do that. Hmm. Did anyone else notice that?

I am thrilled that U/J won!! I had tears in my eyes since I knew that now they were going to be able to have a family after all that they had been thru. I did like R/A and they played a great race. If the spoilers were true about the betting on the outcome he may have been smart enough to get money on the winners so I think they will still come out ahead. Plus they had Survivor and all the trips.

I will for sure watch the next race. I wanted to try out for it but fell one family member short who would commit. It will be interesting and I think a nice change.

I am glad that Uchenna and Joyce won, but would have been ok with Rob and Amber winning too. I have liked Rob and Amber since Survivor and thought they did an Amazing job on Amazing Race. they used any and every resource available. However, they already won so much with Survivor, trips at pit-stops, and are having their wedding on TV! I definitely don't feel sorry for them for coming in 2nd.
I know that Uchenna and Joyce want a baby and am glad they now have the resources to do that. I agree that Kelly and Ron are probably no longer together. I am glad they didn't win! Can't wait for the next season!!!!!!!!

Some things I liked about the ending. I loved that both U/J said "a baby" at the same time when Phil asked them what they were doing with the money. You could tell how in sync they were because of that statement alone!

I also liked how U wouldn't just run off without paying the cab driver, although you could tell he wanted to. They stuck around to get him the money, or as much as they could. R/A sure wouldn't have done that!

What I didn't like about it, will R/A get into trouble for leaving their stuff on the airplane? I'm sorry but I hope they do! If a 'normal' person had done that we'd be carted off to jail. And if it held up a plane that meant other people lost out on things, connections, meetings you name it, then I think R/A should be held responsible for it. And while I don't like R/A (gee can you tell?) I would have gotten ticked if anyone had done that! That's just not something you can do and get away with in the post 9/11 scare.

Whoever watches them on TV this morning please find out if they ask about that! I'd really love to know.

I agree about them leaving their stuff on the plane, but I am pretty certain that they aren't the only team that has done this.

If people wonder why Rob is disliked so much all they had to do was count the number of times last night he bragged they were going to win the whole thing (I counted 5 times they showed Rob saying that).

I'm with you, part of me is a little disappointed that Rob and Amber didn't win. Mostly because I'd have SOOO loved to see the look on Patrick, Lynn and Alex's faces when they first saw them and then had to pretend to be happy for them, LOL!! Other than that, I'm so happy that Uchenna and Joyce won it all. I really loved them! And I know we don't know everything about them but I never saw any evidence that their marriage had trouble on the show, could be due to editing but I'm thinking they thought they were in more trouble than they really were, LOL.

I really hope they get the babies they so desperately want. They will make such great parents, which you could tell from the hair shaving scene alone because they are both self-sacrificing people and couldn't be more supportive of each other. Even during the one scene they got upset at each other, while she was driving the bus, she yelled at him and he stepped himself back and said he'd just shut up and then said she was doing better without him yelling... not blaming her for getting mad at him at all.

And what about Kelly pointing to the right, while telling Ron to go left, and then yelling at him when he went left like she said? Then the whole argument like he's in the wrong for doing what she told him to do? That girl, she's got some major issues!!
