i am so excited! I thought Chip and Kim kicked butt tonight. I am so happy for them. It's great to finally see a couple win that is not picture perfect. I think Chip's attitude throughout the whole thing just makes the win even better. I have a lot more respect for Brandon now though. When they were on the bikes and Nicole was freaking out, he stayed calm, tryed to get her calm and even gave her a piggy back ride at the end. Way to go!

Congratulations to Chip and Kim.....I am soooooo very happy they won and even more happy they got there before Colin and Christy!!!! They ran a great race, enjoyed themselves, the places they visited and the people they were playing against. All around just a great team!

Colin and Christy's comments at the end would lead me to believe they are still together, why, I don't think I'll ever understand, but hey if it works for them...so be it.

I agree too about Brandon being calm during Nicole's breakdown. Now that is a guy I'd like on my side. I knew when it came to the rock climbing that the moms would be eliminated, if she only could have made it up there before Colin did. They ran a great race tho too and have nothing to be ashamed of.

My final pics were way off, however I am estacic with the results!! Looking forward to AR6!

Woohoo! I am so glad that Chip and Kim won! I would have been really bummed if Colin and Christie won. He's a jerk and she isn't much better. So glad they had a leg in my fair country. Also glad they won another Emmy so it will be on again next year. If they'd let Canadians play you'd see me there too! I thought the Bowling Moms did great. I don't think I would have made it up that wall. I bet they will be really proud of themselves when they watch the show!

I am so happy Chip & Kim won!!! I was so confident I didn't watch last 10 minutes as DH was griping at me to come to bed. Wished Brandon & Nicole would have beat Colin & Christie though. I want to do the race with my best friend or my younger sister. Problem is I have to get vacation time accumulated so that I can take off the time from work! LOL Like my DH would ever let it happen!!!!!!!

Well, it says Thursday, October 2nd. October 2nd is a Saturday!

I hope it starts again soon, because last night was awesome! Hopefully they'll get that fixed so we know when it really starts.

I am so happy that Chip and Kim won this! When they did that whole thing with them pulling out of the Stockyards while Colin and Christie pulled in, then showed them seemingly flying through that and getting through traffic easily, I thought for sure C&C would pass them. When they did the suspense thing of showing the hill for a few seconds, just waiting to see what car appeared and that white van pulled into view, I just started jumping up and down that it was them! I was yelling, "Leave the bags, they are right behind you!" LOL! Obviously, they weren't, since C&K got to stand there for awhile talking before C&C showed up.

I was happy with the way that Colin and Christie acted when they did get there. They said some very nice things about Chip and Kim and hugged them. From the way I saw it, it did look like they were happy for them, but who knows.

I felt bad seeing the Bowling Mom's go first last night but one thing I did notice, even when it pretty much seemed like Karen had given up, Linda was egging her on. For the most part, she was yelling to her supportively and seemed like she knew it was hard and wasn't blaming her for not going faster. Then afterward, she knew they'd lost, yet she still told her to rest in the boat and how her kids would be proud and stayed positive and happy. I really liked that!

I also agree that Brandon handled Nicole's meltdown very supportively. He didn't yell at her, told her she was hysterical and needed to calm down and didn't get mad when she said they had to do the luge instead. I felt bad for her, too, it really seemed like she had just lost control of her emotions and couldn't possibly stop herself. I didn't get the "drama queen" feeling from her, just that she was really surprised she was reacting that way, yet couldn't stop it from coming. But he stayed cool and just got the thing done however they could. Afterward, they had their words but then it was okay. He is really a sweet guy!

Anyway, congratulations to Chip and Kim. I'd been rooting for them since before the season started airing, when I read the bio's on the teams. I think that it says a lot about people in how they respond to questions about their partners and I remember really liking their responses both about each other and about their own weaknesses. Plus, these two enjoyed everywhere they went. They made time to stop in Africa when that family wanted to offer them food, they weren't rude to people or each other, they were playful and very supportive of each other. I still love when they had their interview after that one challenge where they had to get the cab to the garage and Kim says something about Chip putting his big butt in there and making his woman push and he gives this hilarious look and says he'll make it up to her, then the look she gave him... cracked me up!

It was weird watching the finale because they were here. I work in downtown Fort Worth, just a few blocks from the Stockyards. When Chip and Kim got the clue and it said they had to go to Dallas I yelled, "They have to go BACK to Dallas??" and DH said, "OOh, I wonder if they'll hit traffic." and sure enough, they did, LOL! It was just strange seeing so many familiar things and knowing I could have passed them driving on the street and not known it, LOL! It was the same way when after last season, I saw a picture of the Clowns and they were in the place right here where I ate lunch that same day, LOL.

Bring on the next season! I'll be at Disney World when it starts, I guess, so I'll miss it... whether it's on Thursday or really on Oct 2nd. LOL!

I'm so happy that a team I like FINALLY won! WTG, CHIP AND KIM! They give older, not-in-perfect-shape people hope! LOL! I was so nervous at the end - I thought Colin and Christie were going to whiz in front of them with their illegal driving-driver. They must have been alot farther behind C&K than we were lead to believe because it took them a long time to arrive at the finish line.

I'm soooo looking forward to AR6 which is scheduled to start late Oct/early Nov from what I've read online (I've heard they had production problems that have set the date back, not sure if it's true or not).

I'm also glad that Chip and Kim won. They really worked together well and never had a meltdown. I also loved that they enjoyed themselves--knowing it was a once-in-a-lifetime event. I'm guessing that when they signed on to do the show, Kim told him he'd have to do all the challenges, because he never once complained that she didn't do anything. I liked that.

I was so mad at the other teams for their negative attitudes towards Chip and Kim. COME ON! What do you expect from them? Of course they are going to use the Yield. Of course they are going to trick you when you sit on your butt and ride their coat tails while they get out of the boat to get the clue. GIVE ME A BREAK! I was hoping that on the Early Show they would address the attitude problem, but they didn't. Colin and Christie seemed to have gotten over it, but I wasn't sure.

For a long time I didn't like Colin, because of his attitude towards Christie. Nearing the end, though, I realized that they deserved each other. Colin even said on the Early Show that what they showed on TV was actually quite the opposite. Apparantly she's the hothead, which we saw a little of.

Overall, good show and good season. I can't wait for the next one. Keep the Emmys coming!

I didn't see the Early Show, but how the heck did Colin explain all of HIS meltdowns and the anger he showed????? Maybe she's the hothead, but if we only saw his outbursts I'd hate to see what she's really like.

I agree with everyone, but did anyone else get really annoyed with Brandon during the flag clue part of the show? They were just following behind C&K, letting Chip do all the work, then sitting the boat waiting for the thumbs up or down. Then, Brandon got mad when Chip didn't give him the right info! Of all the nerve. It's down to the wire, and he thinks that Chip is going to just do the work for him. If it had been the wrong one again, they could have taken off and headed for the last island and gotten a head start.

I was totally happy with the outcome, even that C&C came in second. If I'm honest, they were very strong physically and they tended to play smart. Colin's temper was what got the best of them, as well as the general volatility of their relationship. As Phil said, they were intensely competitive, and it showed, for better and worse.

Chip and Kim deserved to win because they also played very well and worked well as a team through every round, and were loving, respectful and supportive of each other without being annoying. You could definitely see the difference age and maturity make with regard to the married/dating couples that made it to the end of the show.
