Big Brother...thoughts on first show

The thing I liked best about last night, was there were no immediate "enemies". Everyone really seems to genuinely like each other, and there is not alot of bashing. Even when Lisa kept the money, the comments were more directed at being frustrated at having to eat PBJ, than bashing her as a person. Yeah, some had commnets like her days are numbered, but they didn't really call her names or anything. BTW, I think she was extremely smart to take the money, because if the choice was going to go down the line, SOMEONE would of taken the money, they all would of eaten PBJ anyway, but not have the money.

Well, I really liked it! This group is kind of strange, they don't fit together at all but still didn't have any big arguing right away. The people stuck on the concrete slabs really didn't complain all that much about it first thing, either. Not a lot of them are whiny, so far, and that's always a good thing! Of course, it's early.

The pretty boys, I'm annoyed with them already. What was with them all standing around with no shirts on admiring each other? LOL! And the cowboy just didn't fit in with that group at all, he was so pale and not as cut as them... but hey, if he can get himself into the group and they are winning, good for him!

The whole brother/sister thing... first I was shocked that someone picked up on that and knew it right after that twist was revealed and the cast was released. I read it somewhere and someone posted their pictures side by side almost immediately and knew it. I commented to my husband and he laughed, thinking that would be so funny because they are just so opposite. (his words, not mine) I really have to wonder if BB meant for this to go on the whole season as a teaser for us to figure out, or if we were going to know and they weren't or whatever... then it was blown the second day when he figured it out right off, so they had to reveal it to us, too. LOL! I do hope he tells her soon and that she takes it positively like he has, this will be great to watch unfold. But there was the previews from next week, does he tell his pretty boy friends about her or was that just a voiceover? It shows him saying something about having an ally in the house then telling the guys to vote her off just like they planned. I loved how he said he could come out of this with a whole new expanded family.

First off, I enjoyed the show last night. I got a kick out of "Project Do Not Assume" ake Project DNA! DNA with Michael and Jennifer (Not Lisa) as unknown relatives and 2 sets of twins (that have been revealed) Read further to get my take on the Twin situation.

I also liked how there hasn't been any real enemies yet even though some people just don't seem like they will get along after a while.

I am a little confused though. I thought BB was pretty close to being live. If so, how did they get all the video footage of future challenges and stuff. I was wondering if they had the contestents sequestered since there seemed to be a lot of "leaks" about how things were going to be played out (Chen's interview about the beds and relatives). Did I hear last night correctly, that the first elimination won't be until a week from Thursday?

Ok, I know this is jumping around (little distracted with a sick baby here), but here is my take on the "twin situation". I don't think either of the twins that were announced last night (Drew and Diane) are the twins that will be "in and out". I am thinking its someone totally different. I'm curious to see how this plays out. I assume the twin that is not in the house gets to watch all the live feeds so he/she will know what's going on. Keep an eye out for someone who acts a little different at times. I know of one in particular that I am keeping an eye on!

It should be a fun summer!

OOPS...sorry, Jennifer is the sister, not Lisa. It always takes me a few weeks to learn the names.

About BB being live, the 1st and 2nd season were pretty much live every time they aired the show. But that changed during the 3rd season. We only saw Julie Chen once a week. The other two nights, they aired the shows taped from a few days earlier. Say the Veto competition and Veto cereomy were on an actual Saturday in the house, it would be aired Tuesday night for us to see. The only part LIVE about BB is the vote for who leaves the house. All other parts, including the competitions are filmed ahead of time and aired later. That is why if you get the live feed, or go to a site where they inform you of live feed info, people can know days ahead of time who got HOH or who won the veto, ect. The only thing they don't know ahead of time is who is going home, but they can take a pretty strong guess because they can see the strategies and plans play out during the week wit the live feed. Does this help?

Also,, about there not being a vote until next week, that sounds right. We won't see the nomination ceremony until Thursday night, and then they have a week until voting. The actual nomination day will not be Thursday. It has probably already happened in the house. They are just going to air it Thursday.

Well since you mentioned it, I already am keeping an eye on Holly (ditsy blonde). You make an excellent point about the missed questions and that could explain it.

I agree with you that it isn't either of the two who revealed that they have twins. There is one other person who has an identical twin on the show and I think it's that person because they didn't say anything when the other two mentioned it. Who knows, though? It's making me crazy! LOL, I was watching them all tonight wondering if anyone was acting different but it's hard to tell since there are so many of them and it was just the first show.

Does anyone know if in other states ( I live in Mass) that a mortician also digs graves? Since someone threw up a red flag on Marvin being a twin, I have been watching him. And his career says "mortician" yet last night, throwing the bags of ice, he compared to how he had

Weird that you mentioned the "mortician/gravedigger" thing because I picked up on that too.
