Am I the only girl having to watch the political conventions?  My husband is a major republican and is kind of involved in local politics and he started whining when I wanted to go into another room to watch my Rangers play instead.  So, being a good wife, I watched all he people come to the podium and talk about how bad President Obama is and how good Mitt Romney will be.  Next week I fear it will be the same except in reverse!

Who else is having to watch?  Or are you watching because you want to?

I do watch them both a bit, but usually with a book in hand. It's amazing how much reading you can get sandwiched in between all the applause, catcalls and general hubbub. :smileytongue:

I tend to watch some of both conventions, not because I have to but because I want to see what the major players are saying. And I really don't like just going by the sound bytes that the media always seems to focus on. I want things in context as much as possible. I usually sit there knitting so I don't get terribly bored when they drone on, though! LOL
