Just caught this news... so be sure to mark it on your tv-watching calendar!

"Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together," a benefit concert to aid victims of the storm that devastated the Northeast, will air at 8 p.m. ET on the networks of NBC Universal. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Jon Bon Jovi, Sting, Christina Aguilera and Billy Joel will perform in the show, which will be hosted by TODAY's Matt Lauer. Brian Williams and Jimmy Fallon will make appearances, too.

Money collected will be donated to the American Red Cross relief efforts. The special will air Friday at 8 p.m. ET on NBC, NBC.com, USA Network, SyFy, MSNBC, CNBC, Bravo, E!, Style Network, G4 and more. It will also be live-streamed on NBC.com.

LOL, totally agree! I hate it when they get involved in politics, I really could care less where they stand on the issues.

This is a great idea, and awesome to see artists not from the area helping out with it. I hope they can raise a lot money for the relief effort.

It's great to see people coming together to help others. So many people were impacted by this crazy storm, it's going to take a massive effort to help with recovery. And personally, I prefer celebrities getting behind causes like this rather than touting political candidates. Laughing
