Olympic champs offered reality shows

I think we're all used to seeing olympic champions becoming spokespeople for various products and brands; after all, they've put in a tremendous amount of time into reaching their goals, so it makes sense that they'd take advantage of the opportunities that come with the recognition. So, I guess it shouldn't be a surprise that reality tv offers are being thrown out there at them, too.

Track and field gold medalist Sanya Richards-Ross has reportedly sealed a deal for her own reality show pilot on WEtv. It focus on her training as well as her private life with husband Aaron Ross, a two-time Super Bowl champ who now plays for the Jacksonville Jaguars. The WEtv show would also focus on the competitive rivalry this athletic pair have, as well as offer a glimpse of Richards-Ross' relationship with her mom/agent, dad/manager, and sister/business partner.

Actually, that one sounds rather interesting, especially since her family members are connected business wise, too. What do you think? It has more appeal to me than watching a group of rich catty women like the Real Housewives of... trainwrecks! LOL

I am over reality shows. Maybe I'll watch a few episodes of someone's life on a special of some sort from time to time but now-a-days they will make reality shows out of anything. I actually heard a gal talking about how The Bachlorette was "instructional" and good for people to watch because it is about relationship building. Those of us listening were stunned. If people are really believing that kind of thing it's time to TV producers to wake up and realize they are dumbing down and ruining our society.
