?s about Amazing Race

Ok, this is the first time I have tried to watch the Amazing Race and I have a few questions.

How does the next leg of the race play out? Does the order that they came in the first leg have any impact on the second leg? Do they get scattered beginning times? The first team of Alison and Donny were so far ahead of some of the other teams, do they get to keep that lead or do they all get evened out again?

second, I guess it's stated on the rules that they have to get the "clue" at each station since the two teams who went right into the casino had to go back and gather that clue. I was a little confused at why they would accept the chips and play for another clue when they hadn't gotten a clue about playing roulette. I guess adrenaline can make you forget some things.

So far I am enjoying the Race. Its a little fast paced and they really crammed a lot into last nights episode. Does anyone know the time frame of last nights episode? was it over a weeks period...couple days, etc.?

Thanks in advance for reading and answering my questions.

In all the previous AR's..no team has ever held a lead from week to week. The official rule is each teams leaves EXACTLY 12 hours to the minute later than when they checked in. So if Alison and Donny checked in at 5:06PM then they leave at 5:06AM. We never know the exact time or how much of a lead the teams have on each other until the next week when they leave the pit stop for the next leg. It shows the time they are leaving.

I think the biggest advantage of being the first team to head out on the next leg of the race is having the liberty to take your time and research your transportation options!

I've never watched an entire AR competition...only bits and pieces.

The yield is new to this years game. Before they had a Fast Forward...where a team who gets the FF could skip all tasks and go to the pit stop. I *think*

The Yield is something new to this season. My satellite signal was lost for a bit due to a rough thunderstorm, so I missed Phil explaining what it did. Can anyone help with it?!

I didn't see a roadblock (You know, where one team member has to do a task - and they have to choose the team member based on a clue and BEFORE they start?), did they eliminate it? Did they eliminate the fast forwards too (where they have to do a task, get the FF and then can go to the pit stop without completing the other tasks)?

This morning I checked out the AR site to find out about the Fast Forward/Yield options. This time around only two pre-determined legs will have the Fast Forward options, but each leg will have the Yield option. I can't wait to see how the Yield mixes things up. I hope someone uses it on Allison and Donny!!!!

Thanks soooo much for the "yield" clarification. Thanks also for the FF info as well.

On the cbs website in the glossary for Amazing Race they still show both Fast Forward and Roadblock so I'm guessing they will still have those. Yield was in there too so I didn't think it was an old list.
