Storage Wars character dies -- suspected suicide

Mark Balelo, an auction house owner featured on the A&E reality TV show "Storage Wars," was found dead on Feb. 11, The Ventura County Star reported. He was 40.

TMZ is reporting it as a suicide....

"Multiple sources close to Balelo tell us he was found dead in his car ... which was parked and running in the garage at his auction house in Simi Valley, CA.

According to our sources, Balelo had been arrested for a drug-related offense on Saturday. We're told when Balelo got out of jail he was distraught, and asked his fiancée to come over because he was afraid he might hurt himself."

Sad to see things like this; my heart goes out to his loved ones. It's really a struggle for those left behind to deal with.

Wow... it's hard to believe someone would take their life because of a drug charge. There has to be more behind the story; maybe he was suffering from depression or something...

Heartbreaking for the ones left behind, no matter the reason behind it.

That is so sad. I love that show but show aside, any time you hear of suicide it is just so tragic. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

I didn't watch the show, but still... I can't imagine the suicide being simply because of a drug charge, either. Not that I think that's anything to be taken lightly, but it's certainly not worth taking your life over, not to mention the pain that leaves with the ones left behind.
