Thoughts about AR's final destinations..

This isn't the first time that the final destination was in someone's home town. Wasn't the separated parents from the first AR (frank and Margarita) from NY, which is where that ended? There was another one, too. Seattle, maybe? Team Guido? I can't remember, but last night when they said Texas, DH pointed out that Christie had Texas written across the butt of some shorts earlier in the season.

I know that they probably have this whole thing mapped out before choosing the teams, but I feel it gives a very unfair advantage. Obviously not too unfair since Colin & Christie didn't win in their hometown nor did any of the other hometown teams. But, if I came in second place, following a home town team, I wouldn't be too happy.

Just a thought and a gripe. Still love the show!

Colin and Christie may have been from Texas, but I don't think they were from the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. It may have given them a slight advantage, but unless you're actually from the city itself, it might not give you much. Heck, I live in California, but if you dumped me in most of the large cities I wouldn't have ANY advantage, lol.

Christie's "Texas" shorts were from the University of Texas, the Longhorns. UT is located in Austin, which is about 3 1/2 hours away from Dallas and their bio shows that they are from Corpus Christi, which is about 6 1/2 hours away. Still, if they have lived in this state for a long time, they may have been in and out of the DFW area many times. But, anyway, at least it isn't their hometown, just their home state (and a BIG state, at that, LOL!) It might have been more sweet to see them lose in their true hometown, though, hehehe :) I seriously thought their insane cab driver would get them there ahead of Chip and Kim and so many of us would rightfully be calling "Foul" today!! I was waiting to see someone pull out onto the shoulder to block the cab, they often do that around here for people who drive that way, it cracks me up every time I see it but I don't do it because I'm afraid they'll smack into my tail end. Still would have been funny to see them screaming at the person to move, even though their cab was in the wrong!

Delurking to add the only thing that would have made someone pulling out and stopping them on their "shoulder run" would have been if that someone was a police officer.

This is so true! I work right across the street from the police station and I was screaming, "Come on 'Fort Worth's Finest' where are you all at now??" They sure are out there when I'm driving home :)

If I'm not mistaken (which I seriously could be) I think both C&C and B&N were from Texas. When they were all whining so much about the snow last night I looked at their bios to see if they were all from "warm places" and they all were. LOL

I too was hoping that someone would pull out in front of C&C's cab or better yet they get stopped by the police. That would have made my night and lessened my tension.
