DGS goes back to school the end of next month, he's in preschool. He gets breakfast and lunch at school, they feed family style. I think the lunch could be better but hey it's better then somethings the school give the kids today.

Nicki is a little nervous about DGD Hannah being alone all day, 2 years old, when both of the older kids go to school.

I love running errands with a completely potty trained child!

Quinn is just in daycare/preschool and he gets lunch and an afternoon snack every day. Breakfast if he has to be dropped off early. Lunches and snacks are pretty good at his school (its what we call it), they do their best to offer the kids protein, veggies, fruit, and grain (of course they have to, to maintain licensing). Of course, Quinn isn't a picky eater, so long as its something remotely edible :)

I started taking only packed lunches to school in 5th grade. One of the other kids told me that our lunches were the leftovers from the middle school. I didn't like that idea, so I asked my parents if they would be willing to pack my lunch every day from then on. Dad was, so we stopped our other habit of looking over the months of lunch menus to decide what days I was gonna pack it. Looking back at it, it was mostly likely either A) a joke on me or B) misinterpretation of when the delivery truck dropped stuff off.

that IS great service! My grandkids get personal attention too, some of the people at the school graduated with my daughter!

Sounds like someone pulled your leg in a BIG way, back in 5th grade!

Yes! This is Dylan's first year of preschool. I kick myself in my oversized butt for not sending him last year to preschool, but whatever. The only thing the preschool has to deal with is snacks. Im glad I dont have to pack a lunch yet. The parents however take turns with the snacks. So once a month, I will provide it. Honestly it scares me. Finding something quick, healthy, little to no mess, and doesn't need to be heated. But I am so ready for him to go.
