Basic Biscuits

Basic Biscuits

2 cups all purpose flour
4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
4 tbsp cold butter or shortening or combination of both
1 cup cold buttermilk

Toss flour, baking powder, soda, and salt together.

If I made biscuts I better have white gravy......it has been so long that it sounds good to me too.......

We've had these biscuits for Biscuits and Gravy three times now...lol. They work really good!!

I found the RIGHT pastry thingy! Walmart finally had one. Now I cant wait to try these again.

LOL, I understand! I make about 2 dozen deviled eggs for Thanksgiving, and I'm going to use mine. It's actually kind of fun. I love to chop things also, I'll do it by hand before using anything else, just because I enjoy chopping. My MIL thinks I'm nuts.

I used mine to make dumplings last night, my baking powder was a little lumpy and the pastry blender took care of the lumps!

LOL I do too. I cried all the way through a softball sized onion yesterday, just bc I wanted to chop it!

LOL, I'd do that. I couldn't live without my chef's knife. I brought it to my MIL's last Thanksgiving because I couldn't imagine doing that much cooking without it.
