When I was first married I tried baking bread. To say the least if I would have covered them in foil and put them on the floor everyone would have thought they were door stops and that might have been unfair to the doorstop....lol

My DFIL was very nice he said it wasn't bad for my first time...But I knew it was the worst stuff....and my mother could bake bread that would have made the best bakers cry.... and most of the time she used the Robin Hood refrigerator method.. Her cinnamon rolls were Heaven right out of the oven but even 2 days later they were wonderful....

In later years I used frozen dough....and as long as everyone was right there to eat it out of the oven it was .......ok....... but when I got my first bread machine that was wonderful..... the smell and the taste were out of this world.. but it made a round loaf. I didn't like that so I got one that made a loaf....and gave the first one to my son. I have kicked myself over and over on that one. The new machine never makes 2 loaves good and it takes for ever the first one took about 90 minutes.....this one takes like over 3 hours...

I am probably going on about this because the only bread I like now is Potato bread not the Sarah Lee stuff that is like pound cake. But the old fashioned but I can't get it close by so this time it has been like 5 weeks since I had any bread. Some days I just want a sandwich....

I love my bread machine, but I only use the dough setting. I don't like the square "loaf."
