I am going to do that! I love colby jack, so I think the next time I make foil dinners, Im going to use colby jack and cream cheese to make it creamy!
I did my monthly grocery shopping today, and I did look at the cheeses. There are a lot, and I want to try each one...ll. But, not in the budget this month, so I'll try next monthto try a couple new ones.
I have made them without cheese too, DH doesn't care for it too much. But me, there can never be too much...lol. I have tried cheddar, and it gets too grainy and oily. But I'm wondering about Colby Jack...I'm going to have to play around with it when I get my oven fixed!!
I'd say just about anything. I don't care for American & rarely have it on hand, but there is usually some cheddar, provolone, Swiss or Colby jack around. Lately the Walmart deli has had muenster 1/2 price, so I have been buying a

BTW, to use cream cheese as a stretcher, shred your good cheese, knead with cream cheese, and apply directly to recipe :))

You need to spend some time at the deli counter and get familiar with some cheese!
