Our Food editor, Lisa Cerecola, recently had the neatest opportunity to cook with Giada De Laurentiis.

What I Cooked (and Learned) with Giada De Laurentiis

Would you be brave enough to cook with a famous chef? iVillage food editor Lisa Cericola makes lunch with Giada De Laurentiis and learns a few valuable tips...

I would be so nervous that I wouldn't be able to hold onto anything, but it sounds like Lisa learned a lot. What tips have you learned from other cooks (famous or not!)?

I can't pick just one idea or tip from anyone special... But our Kroni sure
has some offered plenty of them along the way...

My favorite recent tip came from Karen. It was that I could grate fresh ginger and store, cover it in vodka and store it in the fridge to use as needed. I never have fresh ginger on hand and was always using the powdered stuff...ick!
