The world is supposed to end in a few hours, but my microwave has left the planet early.

Well, if your not one of the ones to actually go to heaven, you'll be stuck here for a few more months before it truly ends. I love our microwave, but it was purchased back in the 90's and given to DH before we ever met. It's really powerful and gets stuff hot fast. If you get one from wally world again, don't ever get the cheapest ones, they suck and crap out fast. Speaking from experience, as my parents went through 2 of the cheap ones in a year before learning their lesson.

Yeah, we kinda noticed that my microwave was pretty devout since it was the first to leave today.

Yeah, that is one of the big things that sucks about ours. Its so big it can't fit into the convenient microwave place off the counter next to our fridge. That and the little one can reach it w/o a stool and occasionally makes the display say "Child" from pushing bunches of buttons all at once. We haven't figured out how to shut that off except to unplug it, which is a hassle. And given that its 6:01 where I am now, I think the world is continuing :)

Yeah, we are watching the clock too, Don said at 6, "I think we should till the garden...what's for dinner?"

According to most Christians, as will I. I however believe that I will go to the Summerlands to await my reincarnation. We'll see. Figure out what you're gonna do microwave wise?

I have 2 kitchenaides 1 was my mom's it's about as old as me, the other 1 my MIL got as a 30yr gift from her job. I sill want the pasta attachment and the ice cream maker. The down side is the ice cream maker will not work with mom's as it's to old. I still have a food processor(kitchenaide brand), can't make baby food with the kitchenaide. I have to pick up a new small strainer as mine go a hole in it when we moved, I didnt pack the kitchen stuff.

I think these are one the best things you can buy. the one that's over 30yrs old has never been worked on and still runs like a dream.

You can't beat a blender for baby food.

I mostly use my microwave for reheating or cooking frozen veggies, but I do have the best recipe for a cinnamon nut brittle that is microwaved -- love it!!
