In August 2012, another listeria outbreak caused a recallof cantaloupes and honeydews from Butch Farms in North Carolina. The 580 crates of melons were shipped to stores in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, Vermont and West Virginia. The recalled fruits have a red label and a PLU code of 4319.

I guess the only way to be sure your food is safe is to grow it yourself.
