If you bake a fruitcake and then soak it with brandy is it ok for kids??

So its being soaked in the alcohol after it is cooked? If that's the way its happening, I wouldn't let kids have it personally. Alcohol does more damage to youth (under 21ish) brains than it does to adults, so its not something I would chance.

WELL, the soaking in the booze and the dried and candied fruits were for ONE purpose:

While I like a good fruit cake. I don't think for the most part you would have to worry about any kid eating enough of it, if any, to make a difference. If on the other hand they want more than one bite? I would watch it...usually little kids, the ones I have seen will smell it and pass it but one taste would get them to move on to the pumpkin pie and whipped cream....
