I am using my 2qt slow cooker today..... I did brown my meat a bit, but if I would have put in as much as the recipe says I am afraid it would have run over. It is packed to the lid now......can't wait..

Next I am going to try chicken....

Thanks Karen!!! I know she used pounded chicken breasts, swiss cheese and a slice of ham. Roll, secure with toothpicks, and then she simmered it for I don't know how long in white wine and muchrooms. I'm thinking htere had to be more to it though?

When it comes to cooking with wine it is something that I had heard about for many years but never used it. Until the cooking shows on tv..

I have a problem with the fact that they say get a good wine and don't cook with something that you wouldn't drink. I can do that except I just like something like Mogan David.....the lady that sold me my wine said NO, NO you can't cook with that.....lol.......

Years ago my brother was given a wine sampler that his friend had brought back from somewhere......we were going to sit around and taste it one evening.......EUUUUUU it was like vinegar......well good vinegar.....but that was because it was DRY wine......I think all of it was wet.......so what we did was put some sugar in it and it wasn't half bad.....people laughed at us about that but what do we know?
