I usually just go with what I buy from the store. I do have a special bottle that we made with Thai hot chilis from the garden last year. It has a nice kick to it.

These would make nice gifts too!

When making flavored oils, be sure that your herbs are really clean, and don't keep them around for more than a month.

I haven't made my own vinegars or salad dressings. Coincidentally, after posting that I ate a salad with the best dressing (Annie's Naturals - Oil & Vinegar with balsamic vinegar) and thought "I've got to try making this!"

The ingredients are vegetable oil, water, distilled white vinegar, balsalmic vinegar, sea salt, garlic, basil, black pepper, onion, parsley, celery seed, chives. It's chunky and delicious.
