Tell how you spent T-day!

DD Nicki made pumpkin rolls, cranberry salad, dressing (from my home milled corn meal and flour, that I had baked into cornbread and wheat bread), pumpkin pie, and Turtles.

My brother Ed deep fried the turkey and made sweet potato souffle, creamed spinach and mushrooms, and giblet gravy.

I made creamed corn, mashed potatoes, and gravy.

Ours was great!! Everyone ate too much, so I figure it was a huge success. It was on the table on time, so disasters, and every thing turned out perfectly. I made the best gravy ever!! =D

I roasted the turkey, made mashed potatoes and gravy, broccoli salad, and cranberry and a sweet potato for my MIL. She brought crescent rolls. And I made punch from Sprite and pink lemonaide, it's gone already.

And the pie was great, I made pumpkin, custard, and French Silk Chocolate. I was going to try all three, but only made it to the custard, I'm planning on chocolate a little later...lol. And there are a lot of leftovers, which means a nice relaxing weekend.

The cheeseburgers were juicy & delicious, the chicken tamales had just the right amount of kick & seasoning. The pumpkin cheesecake will be coming out of the oven in about 5 minutes. Working on getting the stuffing mixed & refrigerated, tomorrow will be our feasting day!

Went to my Aunts. The devlied eggs were just fine. After the mixture sat together, the taste was perfect! We ate a lot. I boiled 40 eggs, came back with much less than half. I also made 48 rolls for 2 different dinners, and came back with none! I managed to get some leftovers to bring home, but not much bc everyone pigged out! I cant wait until our Christmas dinner!

We had no leftover turkey but I had a small breast that I put into corn last Sunday, so it was ready to cook this morning.

I ground sirloin and bacon for burgers this week, and put patties in the freezer for when we get tired of turkey!

I lucked out, my son does the holiday dinner because his wife is a nurse and was working.....he fixed creamed corn and everyone loves that right? Well his wife likes it with oysters,,,,,,so scratch the corn.......and maybe he didn't pay attention growing up but if he did he would know we NEVER had boxed stuffing........so that was crossed off to......so I had some turkey and mashed potatoes and gravy......and that was good so I didn't mind.....

But my little grand son made our day........he said "EEEEEUUUUU Dad put the juice from the turkey in the gravy....." I asked him how to make gravy and he said you boil water and put in some cornstarch mixed with some milk so it goes on turkey...............

OH MY.....he might thing the boxed dressing is good when he grows up.....lol
