I was excited when our temps went down, I could really get to cooking, but now they are way up there again, it's currently 92.

I'm not much of a baker, but both of those pies sound really yummy!!

I had the same problem with the weather...a teaser last week with temps in the 70s, but they are back up pushing 100 again.

Misty, a lot of the boards are having a membership crisis.

About your pie crust, America's Test Kitchen did one using vodka.

I did make chicken and dumplings last week just because I wanted to, it was too hot to really get the full effect, but I'm with you!! I just HAD to have it!

Karen, I'm going to listen to your Radio segment the next chance I get!! I don't get the loading and jumping problems, I have DSL, it's pretty good.

If it was just me, I probably wouldn't bake a whole lot either. But with two girls and a DH who wants fresh baked goodies all the time, I tend to bake a LOT. Last week, I baked chocolate merangue pie Thursday, Friday was chocolate refrigerator cookies, Saturday was cinnamon rolls and cinnamon sugar pie crust "crunchies" as my DD's call them (just pie crust rolled out, sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar, and cut into shapes of all kinds, and baked until crunchy. My mom used to do that for me when I was a kid with the left over pie crust.), and Sunday was custard pie. There was nothing left Monday morning...lol. I made chocolate cupcakes today, I baked them off early this morning to beat the heat. I'm thinking cookies of some kind in the morning!

It's supposed to be hotter here tomoroow, but by Sunday cooling down. I'll keep my fingers crossed!!!

I was wondering with the current irritation with facebook if some folks would return to iVillage...I haven't had many problems here. I jumps a bit if I don't give it a chance to fully load on my iPad, but that's about it. I know it gives some people fits, though! I have one fried who will only do village at work 'cuz she thinks she has gotten viruses here.

I always buy my pie crust. Im afraid of it, lol. Add that to the listof things that I fear baking! 90s right now would be horrible. I normally feel like baking this time of year too, but we have had only 1 day of sun in the last 7. It makes me want to sleep instead of baking....Good job on the pies.

You do have all of the answers! At least you're not false advertising!
