I make mini pies in an electric pie maker but was wondering if anyone has done it in a muffin pan?

Never heard of an electric pie maker, I make mine homemade.

Sure, a muffin tin will work; you can also use the muffin tin with puff pastry or crescent roll dough, to make tarts, both sweet and savory.
Interesting that when I looked up the elelctric pie maker, to show Wren, my antique French sandwich press came up in the same search.

The shape looks right.
They were designed to cook over a campfire or grill, we just always used them for sandwiches.
