More squash questions

More squash questions

Squash, zucchini, I tried a cassarole with it one time and it turned out like soupy blah.....

Is there something to do with them to get the water out so they cook better?
I had heard that if you lay them on towels and salt them but that didn't seem to help...

Any other suggestions?

Have you ever roasted the veggies in the oven under the broiler at first then
finish them baking them..
I have even done parnips under the broiler then finished with baking them..
How about just cutting the squash any kind and clean the seeds out
if they have any and bake its not bad then all you have to do
is use it as you like...
no peeling the squashes..
