Need some rib-cooking advice!

I usually throw ribs in the crock pot with BBQ sauce and let them cook all day, then crisp them up in the over before dinner. Today I forgot, so I'm going all oven. I really like the way the crock pot makes them so very tender. Can I do this by cooking them on a low temp in the oven for the next few hours?

I do them all kinds of ways.. And Yes you can do them in the oven and they may turn out a bit drier than the crock pot.. I am a northern and live in the back wood country I would at least give it a good shot ..
I would do them and check with the pound it does depend on how thick they are on time... But I for one cook anyway that works.. and in the world of cooking Oven will work...

I love a dry rib. Dont care for sauce at all. And yes the bark YUM. The ribs havent been on sale for a long time. When they do go on sale I always stock up. I have been craving ribs for a whilenow. I will give the oven a shot. 225...got it. Serveral hours, like at least 3 or 4 right? Depending on the size of the ribs Im sure.

I'm not anywhere near Memphis, but I have to agree with Karen!! To me, cooking them in the crock pot takes away from them being ribs. It is just pork with BBQ sauce. I don't have a smoker, but we do then on the grill with wood chips to smoke them up a bit.

I guess what we love about ribs is the bark and the smoke ring.

Karen, how would you do ribs then. By 'how' I mean, help this moron who's Dh is too busy to throw them in the smoker and who normally just tosses them in the pressure cooker, with instructions that she can follow, lol!!!
