Hi all! I'm making a yummy pumpkin spice syrup and didn't read fare enought down where it says to pour it through a fine mesh sieve. Argh. However, the only big pieces seem to be the whole cloves (7ea), whole all spice (7each) and 3 cinnamon sticks. Can I just pick them out or can I use something else?

Thanks!!

Hey    Do you have a clean  knee high stocking or  nylon  that you could use    to strain the stuff..
I  use those when I don't have  cheese cloth    Just a thought..

I use  those to strain my seeds for jelly...

Cheese cloth (2-3 layers) or a clean linen towel should get you there!  Fine mesh strainers are cheap at the grocery, and a kitchen necessity, so why not put one on your next shopping list?  Actually you can get a set of 3 at the dollar store for spare change.  I keep mine hanging on a 3-M hook over my sink.  Handy to grab and drain stuff.
